Anyone who knows me knows that my whole camera roll on my phone is filled with pictures of my two favorite people: my two perfect nieces. It was roughly four short years ago when my first niece came into my life and I never knew how much this sassy little girl would mean to me. I now have two little girls who I’m lucky enough to call my nieces and I’m so thankful. So here’s seven reason’s why being an aunt was the best thing that’s ever happened to me.
1. Target trips are a necessity for every mood you are in
Having a niece with the same extreme love of target that you have makes everything more fun (for me and her, at least). We’re both working on little Jules’ love for target already.
2. The guilt trip works on me too???
Whether Nat’s begging me for another doll at Target or Jules is screaming when I leave her in the room alone, I give in Every. Single. Time.
3. My Brother and Sister-in-Law are KICK ASS PARENTS
Ok, let's be real, we all already knew this.
4. Their smiles are contagious
It doesn’t matter if I’m in a bad mood or in the greatest mood in the world, if I see either one of them smile at me I grin from ear to ear. It’s the best feeling in the world.
5. You no longer go out to buy things for yourself
Every time I go shopping to somewhere that has kid’s clothes, it’s over. I leave with at least $50 worth of onesies and cute little outfits. It’s an addiction. You think things are cute for yourself, but they're even cuter in kid form...
6. They’re like your own kids… except you can give them back…
As much as it pains me when they leave, at 20 years old, I could not handle what my brother and sister-in-law do on a daily basis. Being able to spoil them senseless and send them home is definitely the best! (sorry, guys)
7. They become your little best friends.
Movie nights, movie theater dates, cuddles, they’re all my favorite. These little babies have become my little best friends and I am so thankful.
