Welcome to the second segment of "Meet The Reporter."

Our team of writers at ASU Odyssey will be writing monthly "Meet The Reporters" as an effort to make things fun for our readers and let you get to know us!

Why I chose ASU

I was born and raised in Phoenix until I moved to Tucson at the age of 12. The moment I stepped foot into Tucson, my heart knew I had to find a way back to Phoenix. Since I grew up supporting the Sun Devils, I could never see myself walking the streets at the University of Arizona.

I didn't just come to ASU to escape the Wildcats, I also fell in love with journalism in the summer of 2017. Ironically, my love was a result of attending a journalism workshop at the UA. Story-telling through photos and writing quickly became a passion for me, so I knew it was something I could see myself doing for years. I heard of all the wonderful things the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication had to offer and decided this is where I wanted to be.

Every experience I have here, in the heart of Downtown Phoenix, gets me closer to the person I hope to be.

I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment.
