Although it has only been around for less than 20 years, YouTube has become a source of entertainment, advice, and education for people all over the world. There are thousands of talented YouTubers all over the world, but in celebration of the success of the movie Crazy Rich Asians, here are some Asian and Asian American YouTubers who deserve every bit of your attention.

1. Jenn Im

Most known for posting videos about fashion, Jenn Im is an inspiration for many teenagers and young adults. She boasts over two million subscribers, which comes as no surprise to anyone who follows her. Not only does she own her own clothing line, Eggie, she also addresses important videos about self-image and healthy weight loss that many people can turn to when in doubt.

2. Lilly Singh

Also known as Superwoman, Lilly Singh is every definition of a girl boss. Unless you've been living under a rock for the past five years, you have probably heard of her. From posting videos about relatable everyday problems to doing collaborations with celebrities, her videos are always original and well thought out. She also has self-image with WEDay, has written her own book, and advocates for nonprofit organizations. Oh, and she has over 14 million subscribers on YouTube.

3. Dena Chang

A singer and YouTuber based in Taiwan, Dena's channel is full of advice on learning English, beauty, and just about everything in between. Not only does she have an amazing voice, but also great guitar skills that combine to spontaneous acoustic covers in her music favorites videos. She usually switches between Mandarin and English between her videos, but she always provides subtitles for viewers who only speak one language.

4. Farina Aguinaldo

Formerly known as Beautyfar06, Farina Aguinaldo regularly posts clothing hauls and weekly vlogs. While her clothing hauls teach viewers which clothing brands were worth buying, her vlogs stand out from other YouTuber vlogs. She vlogs more than just the typical perfect lifestyle -- in fact, she vlogs everything from struggling to go to the gym consistently to eating out with her parents to attending Filipino parties with her friends and family. Although she does not have a crazy number of followers, her down-to-earth vibe in her vlogs really make her one of my personal favorite YouTubers.

5. Ryan Higa

If you're not following him on YouTube, then you're not really on YouTube. Ryan Higa is one of the most popular YouTubers not just in recent years, but of all time. While he doesn't post videos about culture or his private life, Higa's original humor and unique videos bring together people all over the world. With over 21 million followers, he has, for many, become someone to look up to and work towards in the future.

6. Shibsibs

When they're not busy winning medals at the Olympics, brother and sister duo Alex and Maia Shibutani post vlogs about their life on YouTube. They post everything from hanging out with their friends to ice skating practices to videos from their youth. Collectively, Alex and Maia are the definition of sibling goals as well as the definition of wholesome.

7. Sam Tsui

There are many extremely talented singers on YouTube who post covers of popular songs every day, but something about Sam Tsui just makes him stand out. He can often be seen collaborating with fellow Yale graduate Kurt Hugo Schneider on creating covers of songs that sometimes sound even better than the original. His most famous covers include "Heart Attack" by Demi Lovato and "Just a Dream" by Nelly. On his own channel, which boasts around 3 million subscribers, he posts about two covers a month.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
