So, New York Fashion Week for Spring Season 2019 just finished two weeks ago, London Fashion Week ended last week, Milan Fashion week is nearing an end as Paris Fashion week will conclude the Spring Season Collections of 2018.

NYFW was extremely eventful: there was news of the debuts of several new Creative Directors of brands, Cardi B and Nicki Minaj's brawl, Madonna's daughter's modeling debut, the upcoming and new purse street style trend, late-night fashion parties, unconventional runways and ways of showing collections as well as castings that broke the stereotypical mold of a regular fashion show.

The most impressive, though, were the Asian fashionistas both in and at the shows working it, doing their own thing and coming together to show it off.

So hold onto your seat belt, beautiful pictures of beautiful people coming your way!

Eva Chen chronicled her day to day schedule to fit in detailed Insta-stories of the runway shows as well as her wide range of fashion friends, and even the difficulties of being a mom during fashion week.

The stories and posts included many (probably unimaginably) important people from the fashion world and of course, her two cute kids and her husband. She worked her outfits gracefully, despite the rain and other weather-related difficulties.

Aimee Song was amazing with her signature for the week, boots, and looking amazing as usual. Who knew someone could pull off so many looks with boots! And her stories about her meals in between shows looked heavenly.

And of course, I religiously followed whatever Margaret Zhang posted because those are always QUA-LITY content. I also caught her behind the Vogue Snapchat story for the Prada cocktail party and all I can say is, "wow" (emphasis on the lowercase). Her outfits were, as usual, layers and layers of beauty.

NYFW also included more diversity than ever (not that the job is yet done) and Asian models were strutting their stuff on and off the runway (amazingly).

On the runway, NYFW brought on a new perspective. Claudia Li's show featured an all-Asian cast of models to showcase the uniqueness and the beauty of Asian women.

Claudia Li says that the media often portrays Asian women as looking the same, but through fashion she wanted to change the narrative and show that Asian women are in fact not the same and there is a diversity within the community. I was pleasantly surprised and I really appreciate Li's initiative to showcase this through the art of fashion.

This was the first year that I've actually followed NYFW. I've only recently started following Asian fashion bloggers and a whole new world has opened up to me. I got to follow this wonderful week of art, fashion and glamour through Asian bloggers and influencers with social media. It's amazing what Instagram has allowed me to do and how I can connect with people that I admire.

And although it was my first time, I feel like NYFW 2018 was a dynamic week for the international Asian community. I hope the Asian Fashion community continues to work it through the end of the season and beyond!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
