Ashton Kutcher — most people know him as the "boy toy" from the popular TV show "That '70s Show" or in "Two and a Half Men." He's also well known for marrying his childhood sweetheart, Mila Kunis in 2015 after knowing one another for 16 years and being together for three.

You may be wondering, where's Ashton now?

Well, he's nearly given up his acting career to fight for those without a voice to help themselves. Thorn, which has developed software used by law enforcement to identify potential sex trafficking victims and abusers, was founded by Kutcher and his ex-wife, Demi Moore, in 2009.

In a CBS article from 2017, Kutcher explains his reasoning behind being so passionate about helping children involved in such horrible and abusive situations: his two children who are 2-years-old and 2-months-old.

Thorn uses multiple softwares such as Spotlight and Solis to scan the internet and dark web for explicit content and tracks the abusers and victims. Thorn's technology has cut the rescue time of those involved in abusive situations from months and years to days and weeks.

According to the Thorn website, over 63% of victimized kids that Thorn has encountered has been advertised online.

The reason this topic is of importance today is that as technology advances and benefits society, it also poses more threats, such as human trafficking and child pornography. Kutcher is a prime example of how celebrities are not all corrupt and focused on just making money. Kutcher, along with his current wife, use their voices and public image to bring awareness to a rising issue in America. In 2004, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children reviewed 450,000 file, whereas in 2015, 25 million files were reviewed. In today's society, it's often overlooked when someone in the public eye does something beneficial. Don't overlook this. Millions of children are being taken from their families and put into atrocious situations that we can't even fathom. Open your ears and eyes.

For more information, go to Thorn's official website. If you or someone you know is a victim of sexual abuse or assault, or call the National Sexual Assault Hotline at 1-800-656-4673.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
