You don't have to be an art major/minor to catch onto these things; you could just be really into art. Don't be afraid to let the artsy person in you explore. There are endless observations around ready for you to just sink your thoughts into and make the best out of. Here are a couple things you run into a lot when you're an art fanatic.

1. You turn everything around you into something meaningful and deep.

You could just be looking at a magazine with your friends and *BAM* there you go again. You get that look from your friends that you went there again and made something a little more than it really was. But hey, you get the most out of something when you're able to appreciate it a little more by understanding it more.

2. Your mind is running 24/7.

There is no real quiet time. You've always got some kind of idea running in your mind. It's like it is a gerbil running on its wheel. There's constant activity. An artist never truly rests.

3. You jump from one thing to another.

You tend to not focus on one thing for a long amount of time. You jump from one part of something to another, however, focusing deeply on the part you're working with.

4. You're constantly changing moods.

You read into things deeper than the average person and you can jump from pure joy and happiness to sudden sadness or depression. Maybe not the best part of being artsy but it does have its pros. You're more understanding than most as well.

5. Everything you do, you seem to take personally.

Your work becomes a part of you. It's like a mother with her child, they're a piece of her. Same with a guy working on his old run-down truck. It's yours and you create it and any critique, good or bad, feels like it's a personal critique about yourself.

6. You connect things together a little more than others.

A plus! You and your friends could be shopping or you could be decorating a room or anything, and you've always got that one touch that brings it all together. Ideas that average people wouldn't get or even imagine coming up with, but you do! You know when something needs a little touch-up or not and you know just what it needs.

7. You have an odd assortment of things and uses for them.

Nothing becomes useless and everything always has multiple uses. You're probably a hoarder of a vast amount of odd trinkets and whatnots and weird things. You keep everything because everything can be used. That's the best thing about art, everything is recyclable. Plus you're helping the environment. Reduce, reuse, recycle!

8. You will use personal situations to fuel your passion.

Any kind of ordeal you have faced in life becomes you. You take these happenings in your life and you apply it to your art. You create. There's no better feeling than creating something out of pure pain or joy. Turning your emotions into art is by far one of the best types of therapy.

Maybe you never thought you could be an artsy person until you read this. Maybe you never saw the potential in yourself. I do, though. I see the potential for you to do great things. Start now while you still can. Create anything, do anything; you're capable of anything!

"Earth without 'art' is just 'eh'."

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
