Writing for the Odyssey is not easy...for many reasons (personally). But, all creators can agree that coming up with content is very difficult. You think you have some great ideas, but once you start typing, it doesn't sound so great anymore. I can't speak for many, but most of the articles I end up publishing were done probably in an hour to make sure I'm getting my weekly content in.

Here are some of the articles with a short description I hope to finish one day (and some I totally came up with on the spot because I realized I didn't have many I legitimately started to write):

"Why Are You Always Smiling?"

This is a question I get asked a lot and I'm tired of it. So, I thought I'd give people the real reason why I am usually smiling, which includes why you might catch me randomly laugh while I am walking to class....in the streets of New York City.

How Studying Abroad Has Changed My Life.

This is something that I have been wanting to write about ever since I came home from Florence, but I just needed it to be perfect, specifically because I am studying abroad again, which will require more thought.

You Can Love Books But Hate Reading.

People never understand me when I tell them this. It isn't all perfectly true, and it is not a black and white kind of thing. Therefore, what better way to explain yourself than with an Odyssey article (and because I wrote a paper about it before).

Read This If You Feel Alone.

Ever since I moved to New York City, I always feel like I am alone although it's not true. I know many people may feel the same way. Then, I read about the Loneliness Epidemic and knew I had to write something (Note: Feeling alone and being lonely are two drastically different things).

Bored? Check Out This Site Called Stumbleupon.

This is a site that was recommended to me by one of my Odyssey editors which I had forgotten about for a while until I happened to stumble upon it one day, and thought it would be the perfect article to explain the awesomeness.

Why Winter Makes Cities More Beautiful

There is something about the crisp winter air that gives a city a whole new feeling. Maybe it's the holiday lights and festivities or simply being bundled up in layers and scarves? Whatever it is, I would like to convince you that winter is superior to summer.

You Never Really Stop Grieving

A continuation of a previous article I wrote about my grandfather who suffered from cancer, this article would portray the thoughts I have time to time even if it feels like I had almost forgotten.

Do Yourself A Favor And Forgive

The main point is that you will walk around with a heavy weight in your heart until you forgive the person who hurt you. One time I was so ashamed after hurting a friend that I never asked her to forgive me, and I'm still afraid to. I apologized and confessed so many times and cried about it for nights, not revealing that I was hurt, too, so, I struggled to forgive (sorry, this is terribly vague).

Why Jim And Pam Are relationship goals.

Unless you haven't watched any of the Office yet, I would say much of this is pretty much self-explanatory, hopefully.

Now, if you've come this far you may have noticed that there were actually only 9 articles and not 10, which makes 1/10 less articles to think about. At the end of the day though all Odyssey creators work hard writing content they like to write about content that readers will like. Remember: Artists and writers always have works that are left unfinished like its part of their job. I would say article-writing is an art.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
