Dear my most favorite but also least favorite person in the world (depending on the day),
Random roommates are either hit or miss. Not everyone gets lucky with the girls they get paired up with for their housing. I consider myself lucky (I guess) for ending up with you last year. At first, it was rough because we hardly exchanged words, but once we got through the awkward stage, we became the most dynamic duo. I am grateful for having you in my life now.
Not to sound too cheesy or anything, you made the past semester one for the books.
Thank you for being my rock. I appreciate all the times you sat with me while I had a meltdown. You didn't let me deal with my issues by myself. You helped me in any way you could to make every bad situation better. When I felt like I couldn't do it, you were there to encourage me not to give up (even though sometimes we both tend to say "Screw it!' and just binge watch shows to cope). For the times I would be irrational, you talked some sense into me and never let me make regrettable decisions.
You thought I was the voice of reason, but, in reality, it was always you.
Thank you for letting me talk your ear off. I know, I know I talk too much, so I am really thankful you haven't duct taped my mouth yet. In all seriousness, I probably would have lost my sanity if I didn't have you to talk to. I was able to let a lot of things off my chest. I learned to open up more instead of always bottling everything up until I explode.
Thank you for helping me work on myself for the better.
I thought I could do it on my own. You taught me things that I wouldn't have learned by myself. You taught me to listen to people more. You taught me not to take life too seriously. You also showed me how to become a better friend.
Before I forget, thank you for participating in my shenanigans. Your adventurous spirit is one of the many things I admire about you. I couldn't imagine someone else being my partner in crime. Your energy matched my energy. We might have gotten ourselves in a lot of pickles, but now we have really good stories to tell. You already know we are going to make more memories.
Now I know what my dad meant when he told me I would find my person in college. He didn't mean THAT special someone. He meant THAT friend who will stick with you through everything in life. It's you. I cannot wait to annoy you with my friendship for the rest of our lives! I hope you learn to enjoy me randomly singing Disney songs because you're stuck with me forever!
