Gemini season is finally here which is my birthday season. My birthday actually just passed on June 15, 2016. It was one of my best birthdays and I went to one of my favorite restaurants in Atlanta: Bartaco. I decided to write about what I experienced on birthday and realized. On this day, you realize a lot of different things. I realized that I am getting older, life goes by just extremely fast, life is so short, and also who my real friends are. There are just different things that your real friends do on your birthday to show you that they really care for you. Before I elaborate, I just want to make it clear that I am not salty at all about people not telling me happy birthday or not caring that it was my birthday; I just really appreciate my friends who really go all out for me.
The main thing I always notice are the people who tell me happy birthday because they actually remember versus the people that tell me happy birthday after they see a post about it on social media. I mean we are all busy I understand that, but if we are actually really close friends I kind of expect you to remember mine. So many people that I call my close friends are usually the ones to forget and I never can understand why because I am always the one to hype up my friends when their birthday comes so I mean I expect them to do the same. I also find it crazy when people on social media that I do not know tell me happy birthday before my friends do. It just makes me feel like in real life only a few people care about me.
I love my family though; they really go out for my birthday. All the birthday love that I get from them is amazing. I always have a great birthday because of them. They show that they truly care about me and that they are excited to see me grow and get older. I always feel so loved by them not just on my birthday but every day. I really would not trade my family for any other family.
Also I appreciate my best friend, Jazmyn, for always being there for me on my birthday. I have celebrated every birthday with her since I met her in the seventh grade. I mean she is the best, best friend anyone can ask for. To always be there to celebrate with me on my birthday means a lot to me and no matter how busy she is she never complains. I love her so much.
So, to conclude my mini rant again I am not salty about people not telling me happy birthday or not caring that it was my birthday. I just want to show my love and appreciation for the people that always go all out for me on my birthday continuously. I love you guys so much.
