An Apology To The Men Who Feel Scared In Today's World

I'm truly sorry you have to be responsible for your actions.

With all that's happening in today's society, it seems like men are starting to feel a little frightened.

But, why?

Is it that they've done something in their past that is shameful and they're afraid someone now has enough courage to speak out? I mean why feel afraid if you have nothing to hide, right?

The only reason to be scared in today's world is if you've done something wrong.

Women are coming out and speaking about their traumas and experiences for a reason. They want their voices to bring about change.

A world in which men respect women and respect their choices.

Imagine a world where women can walk alone to their car at night, go to a party alone, or simply feel comfortable enough to walk down the street without getting bothered.

The only way to move towards a world that is loving and not demeaning towards women is to point out what is unacceptable. If something traumatic has happened to a woman and she has enough bravery to speak about it, no matter how long ago it happened, we should listen and support her.

If we are going to try to make a better world for future generations we have to make a change now. We have to speak out about what is unacceptable so everyone can learn from it. There will be consequences for actions and that should be kept in mind when someone makes a horrible decision.

If people keep getting away with the wrongs they committed, we will not create a change that betters society. People will believe their actions won't catch up to them and what they do now does not matter.

So I'm sorry to the men who feel frightened, but maybe don't give yourself a reason to be scared.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
