Living in an apartment is completely different from living at your parent's house or even a dorm. You have to deal with roommates, how they did things in their house, and how you did things in your house have to somehow mesh all into one (kinda like being married). Here are 5 things I know each person who has ever or currently does live in an apartment can relate to.
1. Moving in and Moving out
Moving furniture is sooooooo stressful when you have to go upstairs and the back downstairs. You have to deal with all the crazy annoying corners that make life extra stressful. Just ask Rachel and Chandler having to listen to Ross yell Pivot.
2. Not even knowing what your plan Is
What even is a plan in college? Do plans even exist anymore? No dinner plans, decoration plans, life and career plans. When you're living in an apartment you just roll with everything. Just ask season 1 Phoebe how much of her life she had planned out.
3. Having to wake up early and adult
No one, and I mean no one in college enjoys getting up early. Even when someone says they're a morning person they really mean like 9am-10am. Doesn't it sound like so much fun to have to get up early to do house chores and then have to go to work or class? I don't know about you but it makes me want to scream just like Ross.
4. When your roommates leave clothes everywhere
I was walking into my kitchen the other day, there's a pair of socks. Walking to my room there's a random sock. I just want to scream like Phoebe for them to pick up their socks!!!!!
5. When someone tries to eat your Food
You're in college, you're on your own, your parents aren't paying for your food and they aren't cooking for you. You're completely responsible for providing food for yourself. Imagine walking into your kitchen to eat your food and someone has already had the honor of doing so for you. You go total Joey on them about food because everyone knows, JOEY DOESN'T SHARE FOOD.
