Apartment hunting is hard... and it only gets easier when you don't have to do it anymore. But honestly, it's a necessary evil for some of us.

1. When you call apartment complexes and they don't answer...

Giphy

It's fine. It's not like it's 2 p.m. and you say you're open until 6 p.m. I'll just leave. Thanks anyways.

2. When you finally get through to someone, and they're helpful!

Giphy

You wanna come see the place? Yes! Here is: our fee, what we have available, price range, and parking arrangements!

3. When you go on a walk through and it's nothing like it is online...

Giphy

I have been lied to, and I don't like being lied to!

4. When you're trying to leave the complex and ask a resident for help...

Giphy

Thanks.... guess we can cross "friendly neighbors" off the list of perks.

5. Trying to make polite small talk with the apartment guides...

Giphy

Yeah... I have no idea what to say to you. You're our last choice right now.... but I'll be in touch!

6. When you finally turn in an application to a not completely horrible place!

Giphy

It's basically a victory!

7. When you really like an apartment, but they don't like you...

Giphy

It's... fine. Everything's fine. Not really, but it's fine.

8. When the apartment complex people high key judge you...

Giphy

I'm not one of you... I know... I just need a place to sing into my hairbrush and walk around in sweatpants. Please stop judging me.

9. When your parents ask where you're moving to, and you don't know... Still.

Giphy

I promise I'll let you know a month before we move... probably.

10. When the guide shows you a two bedroom apartment...

Giphy

Really, they just want to have more of your money... but ya know... It's fine.

Apartment hunting is hard work... but sometimes it's nice to sit back and laugh at yourself and all the struggles you've gone through. And what better way to do that than with John Mulaney? He gets it... Probably.

No Sex And Upstate New York

A modern-day reincarnation of Carrie Bradshaw's classic column

Around the age of 12, when I was deciding whether or not to be gay, Satan appeared on my left shoulder. “Ramsssey,” he said with that telltale lisp. “Come over to our side. We have crazy partiessss.” He made a strong case, bouncing up and down on my shoulder with six-pack abs and form-fitting Calvin Kleins. An angel popped up on the other shoulder and was going to warn me about something, but Satan interrupted- “Shut up, you crusty-ass bitch!’ The angel was pretty crusty. She disappeared, and from that moment forward I was gay.

Senior Year Is Here And I Am So Not Ready For It

I was you not that long ago. I was once an eager freshman, a searching sophomore, and a know-it-all junior. Now? Now I am a risk taker. Not the type that gets you in trouble with your parents, but the type that changes your future. Senior year is exciting. A lot of awesome things come along with being the top-dog of the school, but you, right now, are building the foundation for the next 4 years that you will spend in high school. I know you've heard it all. "Get involved", "You'll regret not going to prom", "You're going to miss this". As redundant as these seem, they're true. Although I am just at the beginning of my senior year, I am realizing how many lasts I am encountering.

Why Driving Drives Me Crazy

the highways are home

2100

With Halloween quickly approaching, I have been talking to coworkers about what scares us. There are always the obvious things like clowns, spiders, heights, etc. But me? There are a number things I don't like: trusting strangers, being yelled at, being in life or death situations, parallel parking. All of these are included when you get behind the wheel of a car.
