Whether you had an eventful summer or more of a relaxing one, most college students are more than eager to return to school when the time comes. I mean, I was missing school after being home for only a month--not all the work of course...but just about everything else (okay, well maybe not the food). Being at college is like being in a super awesome bubble, away from the rest of the world. You get caught up in the daily activities, the people, and your freedom, and it’s absolutely fantastic. Sure, you love summer and definitely had some great times and plenty of relaxation, but you are also more than ready to get back into your college groove that you’ve so mastered.
For those of you like me that start school a good month after everyone else, it can be pretty rough waiting for your turn to go back. All your friends from home are gone, so your summer kind of drags on after that. You're left with Netflix, but the problem is, you've watched almost everything. Plus you have to see everyone's pictures all over social media and it's mildly torturous.

You try to play it cool, but you really did miss all your friends and even all those people you’re not super close with but always say “hey” or give a head-nod in passing. You may not realize it while school is in session, but it’s pretty awesome to be surrounded by friendly faces 24/7. You likely missed that lack of constant socializing while on summer break.

You are so excited to hear about everybody’s summers in person (all the stories). I mean, you’ve obviously been texting, but it’s just not the same as catching up with them face to face.
You can’t wait to get back on your campus. I mean, it’s your stomping ground, and you just wanna get back to being able to walk around and take in all the beauty of your campus day in and day out.

You also can’t wait for some fun socializing (wink wink). We can’t ignore this….all summer you’ve been waiting to get back to those parties because, well, it’s college. The time to live it up.

You look forward to getting back in your college groove. You have one or two years of experience at school under your belt, and you are quite confident walking around campus. Everyone loves that feeling of having their special place, and for many that place is college and it’s a pretty nice feeling to know the ways of school, have a solid net of friends, and feel comfortable.
All in all, you are just extremely excited to get back. Because despite all the work you have to do (that makes you want to die and/or give up sometimes), you love your school and are ready to be back for another awesome year.
