- You know that happy-to-be-home feeling? Yeah, it passed a while ago.
Don’t get me wrong; it is always nice to spend time at home with your family, pets, and hometown friends, but you can only handle so much. Plus, that feeling turns into excitement to go back.
- You are nonstop talking about your friends from college to anyone who will listen.
As soon as someone asks you about your friends at school, you light up because it gives you a chance to go on and on about how great the people on your campus are.
- There is a countdown to when you will finally be reunited with your home away from home.
The excitement becomes so real that you just can’t contain yourself so you break down and start counting down the days. Although it seemed like a good idea at the time, it kind of makes the days feel even longer.
- You constantly feel bored and like there is nothing to do at home.
You have entered a steady pattern every day of working, coming home and watching Netflix. Although, you do mix it up every once in a while by actually getting to go out with some friends.
- You have started to stalk some of your college friends’ social media to see what they are up to.
You want to know if they are going through the same day-to-day pattern as you or if they are having a great summer and doing all these exciting things. It makes you happier to know that they are having a not-too-eventful summer like you, or else you would be jealous.
- Until the summer is over, you try to live vicariously through your friends who are spending the summer on campus.
They are the ones living it up this summer and you want to be part of that fun. However, since you can't and are at home, you engulf yourself into their social media accounts so you don’t get too much of a jealous feeling.
- You got your new Lilly Pulitzer agenda so you know that means that August is right around the corner.
New agenda means new school year and new fun plans to put into your adorable planner that maps out your sometimes crazy and hectic life.
- You have already started to make plans with your college friends for when you are all back on campus.
Those plans are what are keeping you motivated and excited as you go through your daily routine at home because you know how much fun you can soon have.
- Those college friends that you have seen so far this summer make the desire to be back that much stronger.
Seeing them was like a little tease to what you will eventually be going back to, and it makes you want that life now.
- Although being back on campus means that classes are starting again, you are ready to be living your college life once more.
Accepting that classes are right around the corner is something that you can easily do if it means that you are reunited with friends, fun, and more freedom.
