If you work at your college's polling center, or any type of job where it's your responsibility to invade people's phones and lives and ask them questions about their opinions, you know it's not an easy thing to do. But while this article might be funny for you to read, it's really for everyone else in the world, who are right at this very moment wondering what lie they should tell if they accidentally pick up the phone when a polling center calls.

Don't lie to us, guys. Here's why you shouldn't:

1. We seriously just want to talk with you for less than ten minutes

2. We don't have your names, so don't worry about that

3. We aren't trying to scam you into anything but a lively conversation

4. Please, save us from boredom

5. Or from trying to do homework between calls, which never works

6. But if we’re trying to eat, that will inevitavely be when you'll be friendly and open to discussion- not that we mind, it's just minimally inconvenient

7. You could do it for the actual data

8. Or just to feel like you're part of something bigger than yourself

9. Because sometimes it takes a phone call with a stranger to start you thinking about the deeper questions in life

10. It could be good practice for turning any boring conversation into a delight, so you'll kill it at the office water cooler

11. You can feel like you did a good deed

12. Or you can vent your frustrations (just don't expect us to actually help fix anything, we just have the questions, not the answers)

13. If you need a pretend way to get out of a date you can say we’re someone important and we will definitely play along

14. We will listen to you practice your stand up comedy routine in between questions

15. Or the stories about your dogs, kids, coworkers, whatever

16. Ever wondered what you sound like on the phone? Ask us! We’ll tell you!

17. Practice sharing exciting or dramatic news

18. Practice breaking up with your boy/girlfriend with us

19. Seriously, tell us anything you want, because we don't know who you are and we have no way of reaching you again

20. Just don't be mean, please!

21. In fact, answer the call to practice being nice to strangers

22. Answer it to feel important, because we want your voice and opinions to matter

23. Or to actually use the call feature on your cell phone, if we happen to reach that number

24. That way, when you hang up and see all those unread texts, you can say 'oh, sorry, I was on an important phone call'

25. Sometimes it's nice to have that verbal, human communication

26. A little conversation never hurt anyone, and it could liven up another night spent in with Netflix

27. You might be the reason we leave our job happy, because somebody finally actually wanted to help us with the survey

28. We really don't care if you have any ulterior motives, if you're answering our questions to get out of having a real life conversation with somebody you'd rather ignore

29. All we care about is you, and your agree/disagree statements

30. So please, make our evening and yours a little bit brighter, and don't lie about "running out the door". Nobody picks up their phone when a college is calling if they're about to leave the house.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
