Dear Mom,
You are my role model, my caregiver and most importantly, my best friend. Thank you for letting me vent to you all of these years about my horrible ex-boyfriends, the mean girls in middle school and that teacher that was totally out to get me. I know you’ve always got my back.
Thank you for raising me to be the young woman I am today. You taught me to never give up and always persevere. Right now I am in a stage of my life where I need to learn who I am, what my morals are and what I truly believe in and because of you I am going to be able to learn these thing about myself with confidence. Going to college and having to leave you at home was the hardest part about moving away. I could see the sadness in your face about having to let go, but I thank you for letting me leave without too many tears!
Even though sometimes I do forget to call to say hi and catch up, I do want you to know how much I think of you. I care about you so much. I know how much you miss me too, which is why our time together is so important. You and I have had our ups and downs together. We argue like sisters but love each other more than anything in the world. I know our bond is unbreakable, which is why I cherish it so much.
Thank you for loving "Gilmore Girls" as much as I do. Using "Gilmore Girls" references with you just makes the show so much more enjoyable. I love our “around the world” food dates with constant laughter about the silly things in life.
You are the the bravest woman I have ever met. Thank you for fighting for your life and letting me help you along the way. Our mother/daughter friendship means the world to me and I am so thankful to have you here with me to enjoy life.
I love you so much mom. Thank you for being my person.
Love your favorite, and only, daughter.
