I hope you're happy. In the very basic sense of the word. I hope the first thing you do when you wake up is smile and it's the last thing on your lips before falling asleep. Even if your job isn't what you wanted or you're stressed with bills and responsibilities, don't forget to laugh and be silly. Take the most innocent moment and turn it into an incredible memory.
I hope you're following your heart. Even if that means you have a job that I hadn't realized that I wanted to pursue. I hope you continue to breathe into life the amount of passion and excitement with which it has blessed you. And following your heart doesn't have to only be expressed through your career. I hope you take the trip you want to do, see the world, hold onto your true love and love with all your heart.
I hope you're proud. Proud of who you have become, even if you aren't necessarily proud of who you had been in the past. I hope that even though you're proud, you're humble, too. Let your pride and humbleness guide you through the deepest parts and emerge victorious. Even on your bad days, I hope that you still remember there's always something to be proud about: You got out of bed, you're eating, etc.
I hope that you've created many memories. I anticipate the adventures life will take us on, so I hope you recognized each lesson and have taken a snapshot of what it was like. And I'm not talking about with your phone or camera. Put those away; take a snapshot with your mind.
I hope you finally get the pet you've wanted. He or she is lucky to have you. You're a kind, caring person, so I'm sure the little fella is happy to have you as their owner. I look forward to all the furry cuddles and potential lazy Sunday mornings with whatever little/big pet you've picked out for us. And I hope that you love that animal 'til the day it leaves this Earth. Love it through its good behavior and its bad. Never give up on the one thing that's going to always run to the door when you walk through (that is, if it's furry, four-legged and allowed to roam the house. If it's a fish, I'm sure it'll always be happy when you walk by the tank).
Finally, I hope that whatever you're doing with your life, you're constantly helping others, too. Because being in this world is more than self-improvement and advancement. Its about knowing when to help someone when they're at their lowest because you know what it's life. It's about taking the time to encourage the ones who need it because they deserve to advance through life, too. And it's about finding who you truly are because others have helped you get there.
Sincerely,
Me.
