To My Favorite Teacher,

Thank you for changing my life. Thank you for teaching me that sometimes it is okay not to be strong. Thank you for showing me what it meant to always be kind, no matter what, because everyone fights their own battles. Thank you for always having your door open for me when I needed a place to run to. Thank you for being my home away from home.

I can't tell you enough how much you impacted my life, despite what was going on in your own. You were a teacher but also a friend. You always made laugh and brightened up every day. I learned that no matter how sad, there would always be some good to find, and you taught me that. You helped me realize what I wanted to do with my life and where I wanted to take my future.

You taught me how to be myself in its fullest nature and how to turn my creativity into something that could make a difference. I now know I never have to give up on my dreams and what I want; to work hard to go get. Nothing comes easy that is truly worth it. I learned all of these things from you. Thank you.

Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
