An open letter to you lovely ladies, my soon to be roommates.

Dear suitemates,

I AM SO EXCITED! I am so excited for this year. I absolutely cannot wait to begin this year. I'm even excited for the hectic day we are all going to have when we are moving up to the fifth floor. I'm so happy to be living with such wonderful, confident, amazing, and beautiful women.

We are all different and will bring different personalities to the room, but that's what will make us the best room ever. With so many different women in our suite, we will each bring something to our little family this year. We will push each other to be our best, support each other, and be there for each other no matter what. I know this sounds super mushy, but I think we're going to be able to complete this room together.

What I can promise you as your new suitemate is that I will ALWAYS be honest with you. I believe complete honesty and being real with one another is what really builds a family.

I can promise you that I will always be a text or phone call away if you need me. I can promise you that when you feel down, I will do my best to make you laugh and feel better. I can promise you that if that boy broke your heart or that group of girls were rude to you, I will ALWAYS throw them shade. I can promise you that if you want someone to kick your butt in the gym, and not take it easy, I AM YOUR GIRL.

If you need someone to binge watch tv with, I am there. If you need someone to just listen and be there, I will be there, but with that being said, if you want my honest opinion, I'm going to give it to you straight because I want what is best for you. If you need someone to pig out with, I am definitely there. If you need someone to dance with you at that party, I am already there dancing waiting for y'all to come join me. I can promise you that I will do my best to be the best me I can be.

I'm not perfect, and sometimes I'm going to fall and need you too, but I have no doubt that you all will be one of the best support systems I will have.

I can't wait to go to our little family dinners or dinners to Mei Wei, and then get ready to go out asking each other for what we should wear tonight, smiling and laughing. Then coming back home sitting around eating pizza together at the end of the night.

This summer will end soon, and I'll be sad to be leaving home where I feel safest, but I am so glad to be going back to school where I will be with the sweetest hottest ladies who I know will have my back, and make me feel comfortable at my new home away from home.

See you in 6 weeks!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
