A soulmate is not confined to two people romantically involved; a soulmate can be a family member, a friend, or a significant other. I have found my soulmate in my best friend. This letter is to her and how appreciative I am to have her in my life.
First of all, thank you. Thank you for coming into my life and making it so much more amazing than it was. You always bring sunshine to my day, no matter how dark, and for that I am forever grateful. Thank you for always being honest with me no matter if I won’t like what you have to say. I know that you are only looking out for my best interest and would rather me make the right decision even if it risks a fight. That quality is very hard to come by these days and I love that we both understand how important it is. We are never fake with each other and pride ourselves on how real we can be. Thank you for always being there to work through my problems and for allowing me to be there to help you with yours.
I cannot say enough how lucky I am to have found you. People always talk about finding their soulmate in a romantic partner but I think that anybody can be your soul mate, not just a boyfriend or girlfriend. In Sex and the City, Samantha says that the other three girls are her soulmates and I completely agree. You can go through so much with someone else and if they stick by you unwaveringly, you know that they are special and meant to be there for a reason. That’s how I feel about you. We’ve both been through so much together and I am so thankful that you have always been there to support me. I know that no matter what, without fail, I can always come to you.
You meet a lot of people in your life, some are there to teach you lessons, some aren’t that significant, some are there to test your strength, and then some are there to completely enhance it. If you’re lucky enough to find someone that you feel at home with when you’re with them, don’t let them go. They are rare and extremely special. Most people can’t spend the majority of their day with the same person over and over again and not get sick of them, but somehow we manage. Of course we get into little disagreements but we are so comfortable with each other that we always resolve it. We admire each other’s strengths and help improve the weaknesses. We always have each other’s backs, especially with other people. I know I will never be talked about behind my back if you are there and you know that the same is true for you as well. We love each other so much that we would never intentionally hurt one another because it would just be too painful for both of us to go through.
We came into each other’s lives at pivotal points and I don’t know what I would have done without you. My only regret about our friendship is that we didn’t meet sooner.
