Hello,

It’s me again. I just put you in my pocket two minutes ago, but I already miss you. It has only been a couple years since we got together, but I feel like we have known each other our whole lives. It is crazy to think that it all started when I spotted you in a store, picked you up and brought you home with me. I knew from the second I saw your gold exterior and the deal I could get on a data plan with you, it was meant to be.

Through the past two years, we have spent so much time together. Thank you for coming with me to some of the most fascinating places in the world. Without you I would not have taken a single photo.

Thank you for always keeping me Instagram ready. You are patient in understanding that sometimes it take more than one shot to get the perfect photo. I have to give you props for your camera capabilities, they are out of this world. Also, thanks for having a place to store all 623 pictures I have.

I want to give a huge shoutout for always making sure I know the time. Without you I would be late to everything.

You make it possible that I always know where I am going all the time. Without you I would literally be lost in this world.

I want to also take the time to apologize for leaving you by yourself. There have been times where I thought I had lost you forever. It can be scary being in an unknown place fearing that someone else would pick you up and keep you for themselves. Even worse, selling you online to someone else.

I also want to apologize for dropping you. I know it hurts, but it was an accident. My heart shattered into a million pieces like your screen did.

I know this can be hard to understand, but sometimes I have to silence you. It’s important that I don’t get distracted while driving. It is important that I spend time with my friends and family. It’s not good for me to always be distracted by all the games and notifications that pop up on your screen. Sometimes it is best that I turn you off so we can both get some rest.

These past two years have gone by so fast. It seems like just yesterday, I was buying you your very first case and now you are about to get your fifth one.

Without you my life would not be the same. I learn something new from you every day. Whenever I have a question or problem I know I can always come to you for an answer. You keep me up to date with everything that is happening all over the world. Most importantly you keep me connected to the ones I love no matter where I am at any given time. So thanks, phone.

Sincerely,

Your owner, Michelle

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
