My Dearest Long Distance Best Friend,
How have you been? How's your fam? How's the cute boy you told me about last time we were together? It's only been two months since we last saw each other and I feel like it's been about 10 years.
I saw the picture of us from dinner two summers ago sitting on my desk in the frame you gave me and it really made me miss you.
I'm sorry we haven't talked much since I left home, life has been getting in the way, and I can barely keep my head on straight.
Remember when we FaceTimed for over 5 hours? Let's do that again soon. We have so much catching up to do.
I know it's been a while, but I just wanted to say thanks for all that you do.
Thank you for being one of my people. Although we've only been best friends for four years, I can honestly say you're one of the best friends I've ever had in my life. You get me like no one else and never judge me for all the stupid stuff I do. Heck, you're usually sitting next to me doing the stupid stuff or doing something even more stupid while we're apart.
While I'm on the subject, thanks for doing equally as stupid things as me so I don't feel as bad about myself.
Best friend, thanks for being you. Honestly, I can't even picture my life without you. You're the kindest yet wildest girl I have ever met. You always know what to say and when to say it. You give it to me straight and don't sugar coat anything which is something I can always use.
Thanks for always being there. Even though we go to different schools and don't see or talk to each other as often as we want to, I know that when I have a bad day or have amazing news, you'll be there to celebrate or make me feel better (even if it's just a simple text or over FaceTime).
Your pep talks about life make me laugh hysterically and I can't thank you enough for being there with a hug when I really needed it.
Thanks for loving food as much as I do. I know that whenever I wake up ridiculously early, I can call you and wake you up and you'll be ready to get chocolate chip pancakes with me in 20 minutes. Whenever I'm hungry, I can count on you to be equally as hungry, and I know you'll always want to get food with me. Basically what I'm trying to say is, thanks for eating whenever I want to eat.
Well BFF, here's to us and the many more years of friendship we have awaiting us. When I get home, let's watch Pitch Perfect and Pitch Perfect 2 and stuff our faces with Ian's and ice cream (you bring the lactate of course). Until we meet again best friend.
Love,
Your Long Distance Best Friend
