An Open Letter To My Little Cousin, Who's More Like My Sister

We all have someone we think of, whether it's a niece or a younger friend of the family, but mine is my little cousin. So to the littlest, sassiest, and beautiful-est second little sister, this is for you.

In life, I don't think you realize how much you need someone or something until you get it, or lose it. From the day you were born, I remember how cute your chubby cheeks were and how little your hands and feet were. You were the first baby cousin I got that I can actually hold and play with since I am 12 years older then you. As you got older, I have watched you grow up into a tiny little lady! You have gotten more beautiful every day and even more sassier! The bond we have created is unbreakable. It's amazing how strong it is even though we are so many years apart.

I need you to know some things in case you didn't know them before. I am here for you. Always! When you get older and you need advice or you have questions or need help, I will always be here. I want you to never have to feel like you are alone or don't have anyone to turn to. I want you to feel as comfortable with me like I was your older sister. I will always look out for you and lead you in the right direction.

It's crazy how you are only nine, but act like you are 19. You have your own little personality that sometimes gets rough, but I love to be around you. I love to play games or joke around just because we are hanging out and bonding. I don't know if you realize how much you mean to me, but you do. I'm always worrying about you, I am always talking about you and always keeping you in my mind. Even if I don't see you for weeks I know that you'll be waiting for me to come visit and hangout. I am very lucky to have you in my life and I'm so excited for all the big things to come. Confirmation, Sweet 16, graduations and boyfriends! Those will be the memories! And I'll be here for every single one of them!

And I will take on all "big sister duties" that need to be done. I love you to the moon and back my little mini me! Always stay the way you are cause you a perfectly crazy but you are perfectly crazy for me.
