Our friendship isn't comparable to the one I share with anyone else. Having you is like a brother that I got to choose, and doesn't (okay, maybe sometimes) get on my nerves. But seriously, this is one huge thank you for being my support system. We've never been the type of best friends to go deep into how much we care about each other, but this is just a little way to say I love you.
I love you because you never sugarcoat anything for me. Whether it comes down to "He's just not that into you" or "Apologize. You're being really irrational", I know I can go to you for some tough love. You don't care whether I want to hear it or not, you're gonna say it, and then you're gonna take me out for pizza after. I can take it because I'll always do the same for you. I know when to tell you that you're being a pretentious jerk or when you need to shave.
I love you because we always have fun with each other. I can always count on you to make me smile, even though it's probably because you're making fun of me. I can't wait for all of the ridiculous situations we get ourselves into as we get older. That being said, nothing makes me happier than hanging out and listening to your funky playlists, even though I don't tell you that enough.
I love you because you are going to be there of all the heartbreaks. Yeah, you're a guy, but you're my guy and wouldn't dare let a "bro" hurt my feelings. My girl best friends telling me that I deserve better doesn't compare to you hugging me and making fun of him with me until my only tears are the ones from laughing so hard. Don't worry, i'll be right there if a girl ever breaks your heart. If they do, just know that they made the biggest mistake of their life. You're the most amazing guy I know. I'd never date you though, you're adorable, but we passed that point in our friendship and we both know it.
I love you because you aren't exactly like me. When I became friends with you, I became exposed to so many new things I never would have known I loved until I met you. I can owe part who I am to you, and for that I thank you. Because you're constantly keeping me on my toes, I'm more quick-witted and well rounded in any topic of discussion. You teach me something new everyday, although I hate to tell you how intelligent you are (we both already know).
Lastly, I know we haven't been friends for a long time, but we have so much time ahead of us. I can't wait to see how we grow together, and hopefully not apart. You're going to do so many things in life that I will be right there to see. I'll probably be annoying, like I always do. You're just going to have to get used to it.
