Dear Best Friend,
Today I write this letter to you in thanks for blindingly giving me the world. Even without intentions, you have proven to me the expectations I should have for a real man - somebody with a kind, warm-hearted, loving, and passionate personality that will love me for everything I am and everything I have yet to be, unconditionally.
Since the day I met you, I knew we were nothing less than two peas in a pod. Your wild sense of humor and crazy-funny thoughts have had me laughing ever since. From joking about some of the most ridiculous topics that make absolutely zero sense to super silly things that have us peeing our pants, I have never felt more comfortable with anyone else.
I look at your family like my very own. I can call your mom "Mom" and (maybe) your dad "Dad". You guys have made me feel nothing but special, giving me more than I could ever ask for, making me feel so blessed to have such amazing people in my life. I can only pray that God will help me find a man as great as you with a family as good as yours one day.
Even when you're a hundred miles away, you always know how to make me smile. Your FaceTime calls, snapchats, and text messages are always quick therapy whenever I'm not having the best day. You make me feel safe to trust you with my whole life, and with the stupid girl gossip that you know can get me heated every once in awhile. Thank you for always being available to me when I need you most and even when I just want to have a conversation out of boredom, or because I miss you.
From other guys to personal problems, you never walked away from our friendship. Even when those boys were jealous that you and I were so close, I never let them get in the middle of you and I. How could I ever? You have treated me better than every single one of them.
I could sit here and write a book for all of the things I am thankful for with you. To sum it up - thank you for BEING YOU. Thank you for being someone that I can relate to in any given situation. Thank you for taking stupid selfies with me whenever we're together. Thank you for all of your advice even when it's not the best advice, you tried anyways. Thank you for letting my family know that good guys truly do still exist out there in this day and age. Most of all, thank you for opening up my eyes to the beauty of having a true best friend, no matter what the gender. You are so appreciated today and forever, I love you.
"My best friend is the one who brings out the best in me." -Henry Ford
XOXO,
Your (hopefully) Girl Best Friend
