Dear Guy Best Friend,

I know there have been 1,000 of these letters written, but our friendship is special so it deserves another letter. First, I want to say you are my platonic true love. You understand me better than any guy I have ever dated, and you treat me better than most of them too. You're the one I call or text with important news or questions. You're the one who watches dumb movies with me on weeknights until 1am. You're the one who tells me things straight up, even when I don't really want to hear them. Yes, I have girl friends who do the same thing, but when you tell me things it's coming from a different perspective, and I value your opinion quite highly.

Second, thank you for always being there when I need you. We're close enough to be brother and sister, but you never fail to step in as my "stand in boyfriend" if I'm receiving unwanted male attention or be my New Years kiss if I'm alone. Also, there have been countless times when you were there to be my shoulder to cry on or hug me if I'm scared. So, thank you for everything because I don't think I say it enough.

Next, can we just talk about some of the pictures we've taken together?? Because I cherish them. Whether it's a serious one, like prom or high school graduation, or a sill one, like running around on the beach or laughing at IHOP, they all have a special place in my heart. Your pictures are all over my bedroom walls because sometimes I just need to see your face. Can we also talk about the amount of ugly snapchats you have received or taken of me? I know I can trust you with my makeup-less face and forward flash. Also, I'm not sure how, but you have a talent for catching me doing the dumbest things on video, so you're welcome for the always funny snap story videos you post of me.

Basically, you mean more to me than almost anything in this world and I am so thankful to have you in my life. Please never leave me.
