First of all, I want you to know that you are loved. You are loved and appreciated by so many people around you that I think you would be astounded by how many people would say they cared for you at once. You are so loved because your heart is so big. Whenever anyone is in distress, you are the first person to jump up and help in any way possible, even if it's just going along for the ride. People know that they can depend on you and that's why they appreciate you so much in their lives. I appreciate you in my life and I am so proud to call you my best friend. I am grateful to know you and be able to brag about you any chance I get.

I could never imagine a friend with greater qualities than the ones you possess. And because you are my best friend I want you to know that it is okay to do things for yourself and appreciate yourself just as much as everyone else does.

I want you to know that it's okay to say no. It's awesome to know you are someone I can always depend on. However, you are still someone I can depend on even if you tell me that you can't make it every now and then. Sometimes we all just need a day to not do anything except lay in the sun and relax. It is okay not to pick up that extra shift. It is okay to not want to make an appearance at the party or show support at a game. We all know how much you love us and we understand that sometimes you can't do it all.

Maybe this is easier said then done. I have no idea what is like to be you. I have no idea what is like to be appreciated and loved by as many people as you are. But I do know how bad it hurts me when I see you break. When it all becomes too much and you just physically can't take care of everyone else anymore. I know how hard it is for me to see you break down and know there is little that I can do to help. So no I don't know what it is like to be the one breaking down, but I do know what it is like to be the one picking up the pieces.

I know that you will always be the one with an ever growing heart who will never stop helping those around her. I also know life is going to be really hard sometimes. I know that school will seem to be too much. I know your family will drive you nuts. And I know that friends will come and go in your life. I know that you will reach a breaking point every now and then. But I want you to know that I will always be right by your side. Even if there isn't much I can do to help everyone that you help, I will always be there to help you.
