An open letter to my first  love 💔

Sitting here thinking and wishing you were here. I want to tell you all the great things I'm accomplishing. Things I could've never thought I'd have. Oh man. Time flies. Months go by and suddenly it's been four long years since you've walked away from me. I'm suddenly starting to understand why you did it. I want to believe that you wanted to protect me from you. From the broken, sad, you. But the way you hurt me and broke me isn't the way you should've done it. So I believe you had no good intentions to begin with. I can tell you what I want to believe or I can tell you how I truly see it. I see it as you abandoning me. Breaking every last bit of me. Especially knowing the situation I was going through. You were selfish to not think about me. Thinking of what that could do to me. You killed and destroyed me and my spirit. I will never be the same girl you fell "in love" with. I can sit here and tell you how much I hate you. And how much of a disappointment you are to me. But you already know that. I assume. Which is why you never contacted me again. You know. What you did isn't compared to anything else in this world. I really feel like you killed me. Murdered me. While I was there lifting you up and helping you and loving you as best as I could. You chose the life you want to live and thats fine. I don't even miss the love we had. I already grieve that part. I just miss my best friend. The person I could confide in and gives me advice or pretends to listen to me and makes jokes to make me laugh. That friend. Only god understands why we can't be together. You're just not allowed to come back into my life. Some people just can't go where god is taking you. And I know for a fact I'm moving forward. Wherever god is taking me. Just hope you're ok and moving forward as well. ✨💫

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
