Hey guys,
I'm sorry for all the pain I cause you, whether it's forgetting to wear socks, walking on scalding hot pavement, but especially for forcing you into heels. Wearing heels is like showing up to an ice cream store right after it closes when the lights are still on and the employees are still there: excruciating.
Amazingly enough, this pain fails to prevent me from putting them on you, just like being lactose intolerant fails to keep me away from ice cream. Women every day courageously endure this pain, it's not just me! Yes, I am aware that I may look like this poor model on the runway when I attempt to wear skyscrapers:
However, it's not my fault... it's society's, I swear. Us women are expected to get dolled up and strap these fabulous shoes on. Oh how I wish a friendly 2 inches could be enough, hey, maybe they can, but damn do my legs looks good in an uncomfortable, 4 plus inch heel.
It's not only society, I wear them because I choose to. No man is going to tell me what does and doesn't look good, there is just something so empowering about wearing them. To bring out my feminist side, men are constantly putting women down and heels are a literal way to bring us up. I feel on top of the world in this fashion footwear, and I'm sure every woman would agree. It gives us a whole new perspective, has that ceiling always been there?, so this is what it's like to talk at eye level, word. It gives us confidence. Like Carrie Bradshaw once said, "‘I'm not afraid of heights, have you seen my shoes?"
Feet, I don't want to hurt you, but it seems I have no choice. It's only for a night or two, at least until I step into the real world. And when that happens I promise on my commute to work I will one hundo p lace you up in the most comfortable of sneaks. (FYI sneakers cause blisters too sometimes so you shouldn't generalize)
I hope this clears things up a bit. I love you, but relationships are all about compromise. If you ever need some reminding, here are some bossy quotes on high heels.
