Dear Bestest Friend,

This letter is fully dedicated to you and nobody else because I know how much you love it when I express my love to you (and also because I know you want me to admit that you are my bestest friend among my other best friends.) I hate you so much sometimes because you will take the last piece of bacon but of course, since you are the chef, you deserve that bacon.

First of all, I want to thank you for being my favorite person. I never thought I will have a favorite person. Also, I’ve always wanted an older brother who I can share my secrets with and talk to every day and annoy every day. I know how much you love me and how you listen to my annoying complaints even if it’s 4 A.M and we are still half drunk. You are the only person in this world who will stay up all night to talk to me until the sun has risen. It’s crazy if you think about how much we can talk. We can talk forever; it’s actually insane. How come we never run out of topics? It’s insane!!!

We’ve been through so much and we always take each other’s side and protect each other no matter. I told you I am your lawyer. Yes, I am going to law school so I can help you do all those work contracts and take 10% of your salary. Duh! If you really think about how much we take care of each other, people will think that we like each other. LOL. Crazy right?

I’ve never experienced love like this because although we are not blood-related, you are the only guy in this world who can love me purely without any intentions. Your love is so pure and no wonder you are my best friend.

Remember that time you lost your phone near 74th Street because you were dancing around me in the snow? It’s our very first memory together back in February. That one is not my favorite but here are some of the memorable moments.

Thank you for sitting on the platform with me at 3 A.M when I was crying along the streets of Queens Boulevard, for cooking bacon without any complains whenever I get scared of frying the bacon, for calling me at 4 A.M to check on me whenever I am going through a lot and for staying up until the sun rises, and most importantly, for choosing my side over anyone else and for protecting me like your little sister.

I know that we will be friends even when we are 85 and we will probably cook bacon together. I want you to know you are secured in my heart too. Thank you for giving me the purest love ever and for loving me like your own little sister. You are beyond incredible. I wouldn’t trade it for the world. I wish I’d done everything on Earth with you.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
