Dear College Friend Group,
As the year comes to a close, I figured it's about time I tell you all thank you for not only being the crazy, great human beings you are, but also for putting up with me for an entire year. College can be really difficult at times; being away from home for the first time, struggling to find people who won't mind that you love blasting show tunes and watch a little too much "Grey's Anatomy." That's not even including all of the homework, essays, and exams that need to be done, but there's no one else I'd rather sit with at 4 a.m., on the edge of a nervous breakdown, cramming for exams.
You put an entirely new meaning to the song "One Call Away" because I didn't know how true it was until I met you. From breakfast after a tough night to a weekend away from home, I know that when I call you, you'll be here in a blink of an eye, and I hope you know I'd do the same for you.
Thank you for all of the food runs at any time of day. Whether it be lunch or midnight, if one of us says the word food we're all down to hop in the car and hit up the nearest restaurant.
The movie nights that vary from Disney to horror with no in between that usually involve dining-dollar pizza and "doing homework" will never be forgotten.
You stand by me with each choice I make even if you think it's a mistake and you hold me when I cry no matter what the reason may be. Thank you for listening to me at all times, even if you've told me how to fix my problem a million times and I just never listen.
The random trips to the animal shelter and outlet malls filled with things we can't afford as broke college kids are memories I'll cherish forever.
Thank you for making college a second home. I never thought I could be so comfortable in a place I've never been with people I've never met, but I am and I will miss you more than words can say.
You're some of the best friends I've ever had (I still love you guys back home more than you'll ever know), and I can't imagine my life without you now. No matter how much times passes or how busy we get, things always pick right back up from where we were the last time we spoke. I'll miss you this summer, but I know that next fall is going to be even better.
Much love,
Your Friend
