This is the person that has always been behind me no matter what happens.
From the countless volleyball tournaments and bowling matches, there was always a familiar face in the crowd since I started in fifth grade, and that face was yours. Even as a travel around the country doing the sports I love, you are there.
You were the one that drove me an hour and a half just for practice three times a week because you believed in me. You left work early every time I had a match and would apologize if you even missed the warm ups.
Now that I do not live at home and travel a lot farther, you are always checking the stats or watching the videos to see how I'm doing, and when I get to my phone after a game, there is always a text from you, whether it be to tell me about how great I played or even to be honest with me. And more times than not, you're actually in the stands watching!
Even as I begin to grow my career as I finish these last two years of college, you still back me in every decision and do what you can to help me to succeed in every way possible. Whether you are just listening to me rant about a class or sending me a text to give me the complete and honest truth about my work, you are always there.
The trend remains the same. From my days in a dancing leotard to volleyball jerseys and bowling shoes, you are always there. And in two years when I hang up the uniforms and pick up a briefcase to start out into this crazy world, I still know that there is going to be one constant in my life: you.
Although the stage of my life will be changing from a gym and alley to the streets of whatever city I end up in, I know I will always have you.
To the person that has always been my #1 fan: thank you. It takes a lot to believe in someone as much as you do, and you may feel underappreciated at times, but please know that is never the case.
Thank you for the years of support and thanks in advance for the many more to come. And I know that you know who you are.
