Dear lost person,

I hope you are okay. I know things are really hard right now and it seems like nothing is going in your favor, but trust me these feelings are temporary, and things will get better. Whether its school, work, or even your ex-lover that has left you distressed, keep your mentality strong and by all means, stop trying to live up to other people's expectations and just focus on yourself for once. It is okay to be selfish and don't let anybody tell you otherwise, because at the end of the day you are ultimately responsible for what you do or don't do. Being lost in this world is so exhausting, not just mentally, but physically and emotionally too. But don't let that make you lose hope in finding yourself. As much as we wish that this was an overnight fix, its not. It's a process, and it takes time. Emphasis on the word process. What is a process? It's defined as "a series of actions or steps taken in order to achieve a particular end," the end being the part when you find yourself. This process may take weeks, months, or even a year. It's all up to you and the mentality that you choose to posses. So please, don't ever be afraid to seek out help from the people or professionals around you, because you are never alone, and you are loved. There is nothing to be ashamed of because maybe we, as humans, get lost in this world only to find the better versions of ourselves. So lost person, with all of that being said, wherever you may be, I hope you know you're not alone, I hope you realize you're not the only one going through this, and I hope you know you will find yourself soon.

With love,

your friend Amanda (who is also lost in this world)

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
