Dear Junior Going Into Senior Year,
This is a weird and stressful time. You're almost out of school, but not quite yet. You still have one last year until you graduate and it is going to fly by. You've been through a lot and have worked very hard to get to this point, so don't stop now.
Yes, Senioritis is real. Side effects include not wanting to go to class, not wanting to work and really just a lack of motivation. As hard as Senioritis is to avoid, I encourage you to do your best to keep your eyes on the prize, on your goals or whatever it may be. If you don't have any big goals, start with smaller ones like getting mostly A's in your classes.
Now you might be thinking you have no clue what you want to do with your life. That's okay! It's never too late to join some clubs and find out what your true interests are. It's important to find something you are truly passionate about. What do you think your purpose is in this life? What are you really good at?
Everyone has something that they are really good at, whether they know it or not. It doesn't have to be a huge talent, but it could be something as simple as making people smile. Don't be afraid to explore different jobs to see what you like best. Just don't be afraid to try anything and keep an open mind. If you never try something you will never know if you like it and if you try it and don't like it, that's fine. But, just imagine you do like it and you're really good at it.
Another word of advice is watch for who your true friends are. Are they really your friends? You will meet fake friends all the time. The ones who just want to use you for something when it is convenient for them. When you find yourself a good friend, really hold on to them because these are the people that are hard to come across in the real world. Make time for these people and keep in touch after you graduate.
Last of all, enjoy your senior year! Go on adventures, trips and make memories that will last a lifetime. Take lots of pictures. Love your family and friends. Be proud of yourself when you graduate. You are doing something with your life and you are worthy.
Good luck and make the most of it!
