Dear Graduating College Senior,
Congratulations! You survived four years of college, 8 a.m. lectures, roommates, and final exams. Yet, your hardest obstacle has not come yet.
Graduating college is emotional for not only the graduating seniors, but for the friends they leave behind after walking across that stage. I know times are different now and technology like cell phones and social media make it possible to constantly be connected, but it won't be the same.
The classrooms will be different. The campus will be different. Everyone will be different. And your life will be different.
But that's not always a bad thing. You've grown in these four years, you've experienced what living independently is like and you've experienced adulthood. It is now time to go out and use what you learned in the classroom.
Your resume won't say "expected date of graduation" anymore, and you will start your journey for the rest of your life.
But as you walked across that stage, four years flashed before your eyes. Your first roommate, your first lecture, your first mentor, your first experience eating in the dining hall, and don't forget the football games on Saturday afternoons.
Everyone said college would fly by, but did we really expect it to go by this fast?
For incoming seniors, embrace every moment of senior year. This time next year, you'll be walking across the stage and leaving the place you've called home for the last four years.
Seniors, we thank you for everything you've taught us and we wish you the best in your future!
Congratulations and good luck!
Sincerely,
College Underclassmen
