Ma,
Well where do I even begin? Everyone will sit here and tell you their mother is the best mother that walks this Earth, but I would beg to differ. There is no one in this world like my mom. She is beautiful, strong, selfless, and just in short, amazing. There is not another person in this world who would give up everything for me and my brother, so for that I want to say thank you.
I want to say thank you for pushing all of your life dreams aside, and I swear I can't wait to watch you soar and finally accomplish everything you have not been able to do up until this point. I want to say thank you for being selfless; it is always the family before yourself and that is something I admire most about you. You never wait for us to say thank you; you just do everything we ask and not because you have to, but because you love us that much, and because you love doing whatever we are doing too. I want to thank you for being beyond supportive in whatever I do. No matter if it was the karate class I took in kindergarten or whatever event I had going on at school, you were there. You were there with bells on and making sure that everyone knew I was your daughter. Thank you for being incredibly hard-working. There is no one in this world who works harder than you, and the only reason you do it is so that we have what we need all the time.
Thank you for the countless hours you spend trying to make me feel better when I am in one of my moods; even when I refuse to show, it you always make me feel better. Whether it is watching a Kardashian episode or just listening to me cry, you always know how to make me feel better. Thank you for telling me that everyone's opinions do not matter, and that all I can be concerned with is myself and the family. In doing this, you give me the confidence to be who I am. Thank you for always telling me the truth no matter what the situation, I know I can always count on you for a complete honest opinion, and which an 18-year-old girl can always use. Thank you for always being there when no one else is. I know no matter what is wrong, I can come to you and you will never stop listening to me ramble on about whatever problem I am having.
I could go on forever about how great you are, but I will cut it short. I cannot imagine my life when I move out and you will not be everywhere I am. That is a nightmare to me, but I know you will be always one call away. And thank God you figured out FaceTime because I will not be able to go that long without seeing your face. You are the best human that walks this earth, and one day I hope to God that I can give you the house on the Jersey Shore you have wanted forever because no one wants it more.
Love you long time mama, forever and ever.
