So what's anime? If you haven't heard of it... good. Run away because it's garbage. If you don't like heeding life-saving advice, continue reading.

Anime is Japanese animation. There are animated shows/movies about almost anything. There are shows out there if you like adventure, romance, day to day life, episodic, drama, comedy... almost anything. Since they're from Japan, they're in Japanese, so they have subtitles in almost any language.

So why should I put on hold "real life" shows to watch cartoons? Because watching the same 7 episodes of "SVU" and "Grey's Anatomy" gets real boring, real fast. On top of that, each episode is only 20 minutes! 20 minutes! That's how long it takes me to get ready in the morning. Do I watch anime? I only got into it recently and I started wondering... Why don't I share this with the masses?

So here's a good guide begin watching anime.

BEGINNER: (Available in English)

Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood: Two brothers, with the power of alchemy, on the search for a stone that could give them the power to regain their bodies.

(Adventure, Action,Family, Pg-13)

Sword Art Online: Teens trapped in a virtual reality video game in which the only way out is winning, and dying in the game is dying in real life.

(Romance, Action, Fantasy, Pg)

Attach on Titan: In the future, humans have baricaded themselves behind wall structure to avoid being eaten by giant human-like creature called titans until after 100 years of peace, the titans destroy the wall.

(Action, Horror, TV-MA)

INTERMEDIATE:

Haikyuu!!: After being inspired by the Little Giant, Hinata Shoyo makes a junior high boys volley team that gets crushed by the King of the Court; at the end of his match he swears he'll defeat him but next year runs into him at his high school gym.

(Sports, School Life, Friendship, Pg)

The Devil's a Part-timer: After being run out by the Hero, Satan flees to Earth but ignorant of how to get back to Hell, in the mean time, he'll work as a part-timer at McDonald's (dubbed MgRonalds for copyright purposes).

(Fantasy, Comedy, Pg)

Shokugeki no Soma: Food Wars: Growing up learning cooking from his father at a their diner, Soma finds himself alone after his dad left for a long term business trip leaving him an application to a renown cooking school.

*Not family friendly, contains nudity

(Comedy, School Life, Pg-13)

VETERANS:

One Punch Man: Saitama is a hero for a hobby and is on a mission to get some recognition.

(Comedy, Action, Pg-13)

Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-Kun: Or Monthly Girl's Nozaki a girl who confesses to a guy she likes however he gives her his authograph instead and hires her as an assistant who helps him draws girl comics.

(Comedy, Romance, School Life, Pg)

What's the logic behind my subsets? Well, beginners are for people who have never watched anime. The shows are in English, they're dubbed well, the plot line is easy to follow, and they're simply good.

Intermediate means you have some shows under your belt, you can stand to watch something not in English, and you're starting to pick up on some anime tropes and humor.

Veterans are for shows that have complex plot lines and/or they require some knowledge of anime tropes/humor as a whole to fully appreciate the show.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
