An Honest Letter To My Boyfriend

Why I am in no rush to get married

An Honest Letter To My Boyfriend

If I told you that I didn't daydream about my future wedding at LEAST four days a week, then I would be lying to you. I am a girl, what else would you expect? I have my dress, ring shape, colors, and bridesmaids dresses picked out too. But I have also been dreaming of that day since I was five years old. As girls, it's in our blood to be hopeless romantics and imagine all of the lovely times in our lives and how magical everything will be on that day. But don't let that scare you away.

I am by no means in any rush to get married, because no matter how much I look forward to that incredible day, I don't want to miss the days that we have now. The days where we don't have as many responsibilities and the days where we can still focus on being young and living our lives together, but yet also separately.

To my boyfriend, I love you and I know that you are the one that God has chosen for me, but that does not mean you have to put a ring on it just yet. Our time will come and when it does, I will be thrilled. In the meantime, I will enjoy just dating you. I will enjoy learning about you and going through different seasons of life with you by my side.

There is no rush. We are still young. I still want to live with my friends and not let this time pass me up. I know that one day you'll be mine and I'll forever be yours, but for now let's just take our time, finish up school, take our puppy to the park, and treat each other to Mexican food.

Life is too short to not enjoy the time that we have now.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
