An Appreciation To Mothers On Mother's Day
Brinda Patel

Mother's Day is a day allocated to your mother to make her feel special and wonderful. We always take our mom for granted and just expect to her to do things for us because she is our mother. While this thought process is absurd, we all do it. We call her multiple times of the day for stupid questions or just to keep us company. She is always there for you and she is #1 in your heart.

1. She will drop everything for you to help you

She will be there for you in a heartbeat and will help you with anything. She will always answer your phone call and listen to you vent no matter how much she does not want to.

2. Her love is unconditional

She will love you more than anyone else will ever love you. This love is showed through everything she does, whether it is preparing you food or giving you a much desired hug after a long day.

3. She will make you anything to make your tummy happy

She will whip up anything you want to make you happy or because she knows its your favorite food. This is extremely helpful when you come home from college and your favorite food is waiting at the table for you.

4. She is your best friend

She is always there to help you solve your problems and calm you down. No matter how big or small your problem is, she will help you get through it. She always has a calm mind and when you grow up you wonder if you could do that with your child.

5. She is the perfect person

She will always love you and be the perfect person to ever walk the earth. She is the strongest person you know and you hope to be just like her when you grow up. So take this one day of the year and show her how much she means to you.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
