Emerging from her hit country songs in 2006, Taylor Swift has arguably held the title as one of the largest role models for young girls everywhere. As 2016 passes it’s halfway point, we are beginning to notice the voice of another contender -- Ivanka Trump.
Historically, this political year is the most interesting our generation and plenty of others have seen. My grandchildren will read about how a businessman with zero political background and a woman who was threatened with indictment, went head to head for the presidency. Not only has it produced an interesting topic of debate, but it has highlighted the career of an underrated woman.
These four simple reasons are why more people should and are paying more attention to Ivanka Trump.
Her successful career.
What has she not done? As a successful businesswoman, she has a published book, modeled, created a fashion line and holds an executive position in her family’s business.
Her family.
Just look at how cute they are! Ivanka and her husband, Jared Kushner, have a beautiful family and have mastered the balance of work and play. She is living proof that you don't have to pick between having a career or having a family.
Give her the title of World’s Greatest Daughter.
As one of the most successful businessmen in the United States turns his interest to running for the presidency, an incredible amount of flack and disagreement has been sent his way. A majority of the public does not take into consideration the amount of this hate that is absorbed by his family and friends. Ivanka has been by her father’s side for more than just her professional life and now extends her care into the political world. Offering her words of encouragement in forms of speeches, including the one at the Republican National Convention and sitting down for interviews where she was hit with tough questions is just scratching the surface of the support she has given.
There is no doubt in my mind that we will see Ivanka continue to stand up for her father and their shared values as this political year comes to a close. Whether we continue to call him Mr. Trump or President Trump, the love and support Ivanka provides will continue to make us want to be all-around better children.
Her strength.
Our generation has begun to take notice to the strong women who once lived in the shadows of others. Rock climbers, triathletes, scientists and businesswomen are among the new professions making their mark on young girls and proving that strength can be found in us all, in many different forms.
Ivanka's strength is shown through her success in her career and the happiness she obtains because of it. Through her hard work, she has been able to accomplish much and has already empowered young business professionals around the world.
