The first pizza ATM has arrived in the US. Xavier University, located in Cincinnati, is now the proud owner of this new vending machine that dispenses warm, pre-made pizzas to college students any time of the day. Each pizza is made by Xavier’s award-winning dining staff and costs less than $10.
This is Xavier’s first 24-hour food option open for students. The machine holds 70 12-inch pizzas at a time, and they will be heated to 475 degrees before being dispensed. Pizza ATM boasts that the entire transaction should last only three minutes. Dining employees will be notified by cell phone when the machine is running low so they can restock.
Pizza ATMs have already been very popular in Europe for more than 10 years. Xavier staff worked with Cincinnati-based Company, Paline, the North American distributor for the Pizza ATM. The Pizza ATM is manufactured by a French company, Adali.
American news sources are excited to announce the addition to Xavier’s Fenwick Hall. NBC News, Teen Vogue and Fox are among the big names covering the exciting vending machine. University employees underwent over 40 hours of training from a French chef to master the perfect pizza. The Pizza ATM should be up and running in time for students to return next week.
