Last night, Oct. 7, the anticipated anthology TV series, American Horror Story: Hotel premiered their sixth season on FX at 10 p.m. EST.
Being an anthology, each season is not the same. They are not in the same time period and cities, though having a similar casting ensemble. These returning cast members include Sara Paulson, Kathy Bates, Evan Peters, Angela Bassett and Lily Rabe. One new cast member to the show is Cheyenne Jackson.
The cult series gave an even creepier twist audiences did not expect. This year, the star of previous series, Jessica Lange will not make an appearance. Rather, Lady Gaga will be taking over in her absence. That was not the only twist viewers can see. The series is known for it's gore, nightmarish cinematography and score but this year, the series upped the "horror" in American Horror Story: Hotel.
According to Variety Magazine, "the show generated 10.73 million viewers in “live plus-7” linear viewing and picked up an additional 1.91 million from VOD and streaming."
Tune in on Wednesday at 10 EST on FX to check into a horror story like no other.
