Fingernails dig into her cheek,

rage emanates from his body,

face red in anger.

Her cheek burns red hot,

teeth chatter in fear,

body hunched to protect itself.

Blood drips from her bottom lip.

Metallic shards spreads across

her tongue, disappearing.

Air rushes from her lungs,

his fist against her stomach,

body crumbles to the floor.

Weighted feet to trembling ribs,

strangled sobs escape her lips.

“Please.” She whispers, “I’m sorry.”

“You are mine.” Spit flies from his mouth.

Her eyes widen as he moves closer

“you will always be mine.”

He turns

fades from view

she chokes on muffled sobs...

'always?...'
