I'm not against kicking back and relaxing with the guys. I'm always down to hangout and play some video games or run around until my feet fall off playing sports. I'll admit I may not be very good at either of those, but I'm always up to hangout and be one of the guys for the night. In fact, I really enjoy it. I like knowing that my guy friends think I'm worthy enough to be included in bro time and that I don't feel the need to dress a certain way or act a certain way when I'm around them. They treat me like one of the dudes, and I think a lot of girls actually like that. It makes you feel special, and you get to hear about all of the psycho things other girls do so that you know what you shouldn't do in a relationship. Being one of the guys has it's perks, until you start to like one of them.
Once you become one of the bros, it's hard for them to unsee you as that. They no longer see you as a dating option because you're just one of them. Becoming one of the guys often leads to falling for one of the guys. You see him when he's unfiltered and being real. Nothing is off limits or a surprise, which can be attractive in some cases, but you're undateable because you're just always the bro, never the girlfriend. It's as if hanging with the guys takes away some of your femaleness and although they don't see you as a male, they certainly don't see you as full woman either.
So on the off chance that you do start dating one of them, the entire group dynamic gets thrown off because you're no longer a bro, you're a girlfriend. Hanging out with them is different because you've become more of a female and all of the reasons why you started liking your boyfriend are not seen because of the transition from bro to girlfriend. The two of you breakup? Well now you've lost a boyfriend and a group of guys to hang with.
Being considered as one of the guys is one of the biggest compliments a boy can give you, but be careful, because once you're a bro, it's hard to transition into the girlfriend.
