If you're a student at USF you probably know that there are some things on this campus that you can't experience anywhere else. Like most schools, campus culture is what makes our school what it is. Here are some of the most memoriable highlights from USF.

A – Advising Appointments

A rare find during the middle of the semester that you’d gladly fight someone for.

B – Bulls

The name of USF’s student body. Also, the school mascot. Bull figures can be found all over campus.

C – Cooper Hall

A somewhat scary building with very sketchy elevators. Ground zero for protests, radical speakers and Subway. If you've never been in Cooper did you really go to USF?

D – Ducks

Cute waddling bird that can be found all over the USF campus, including parking garages, outside of the library, near the BSN and around Cooper Hall.

E – Elevator roulette

The game you play when you take the elevator in the following places: the library, Cooper Hall, the Education building and every parking garage.

F – Financial Aid Office

Where you find yourself during a good chunk of the semester trying to hold onto the $1.48 in your bank account.

G – Green and gold

The colors you bleed if you’re a USF Bull.

H – Handshake

The resource we all know we should be using but don’t (because we are irresponsible).

I – Interdisciplinary Sciences Building

Giant building with great views of campus. Home to pretty much all Biomedical Sciences majors.

J – Judy Genshaft

The ultimate face of USF. Has to shake your hand at graduation. Reminds us all of Judge Judy.

K – Kayaking at Lettuce Lake Park

Basically, a USF rite of passage.

L – Club Lib

The library that has a fancy name because USF is lit. Someone will fight you for a pod on the 5th floor. Hotspot during exam week and after 10:30 am during spring and fall semesters.

M – Marshall Student Center

Always cold but has food. Finding a seat is like the Hunger Games. Don’t step on the seal.

N – No parking

What people complain about the most throughout the semester. Very annoying if it takes more than 15 minutes.

O – The Oracle

The school paper that deserves more recognition.

P – Publix

Florida’s best grocery store that they will eventually build on campus.

Q – Quinton Flowers

The GOAT of USF Football. Loved by all USF football fans.

R – Rocky the Bull

Everyone’s favorite bull. Loves taking photos almost as much as he loves USF.

S – Squirrels

Will chase/attack you for food. Can be found in trash cans waiting for you. Beware.

T – T-Shirts

How you get any USF student to do anything. Can get for free at pretty much any event.

U – Umbrella

What you wish you had on you when it’s pouring and you need to go from the BSN to the MSC.

V – The Village

The swanky new dorms that you’re probably a little jealous of.

W – Week of Welcome

The week you use your freshman/sophomore year to meet new people and make friends.

X – eXtra Credit

What your teachers in high school said didn’t exist in college. Is in the syllabus for 3/5 classes.

Y – Yellow

That moment when something should be green and gold but is really green and yellow but you don’t want to say anything.

Z – Zombies

What the entire student body looks like during finals week. Can be found in the library during early morning hours.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

The Importance Of Being A Good Person

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
