Alpha Gamma Delta- Live With Purpose

“You be the anchor that keeps my feet on the ground and I’ll be the wings that keep your heart in the clouds.”

I don’t even know where to start or whether this article will even do Alpha Gamma Delta the justice it deserves, but I’m gonna try. It has been a year since I have had the honor and privilege to join a sorority thats heart is bigger than the organization itself. I had the opportunity to meet some of the most incredible women at this university and I’m lucky enough to call them not only my friends, but my sisters.

The strength and courage that this sisterhood possesses is something that inspires me each and everyday. We stick together through thick and thin and even when it feels as if everything is going wrong, we always come out on top. People ask me if I could rush again would I pick a different sorority, I always laugh because my answer is always the same; I have invested myself into Alpha Gam and I wouldn’t change anything about my experience within this sisterhood.

Alpha Gamma Delta made me realize how much more I have to grow as not only a friend, but as an individual. My sorority has taught me loyalty, friendship, and responsibility and I am truly honored for that. I have made lifelong friends who believe in the same things that I hold close to my heart and they fill all my days with laughter and happiness.

The women of Alpha Gamma Delta are their own individual people who have an array of all different personalities that adds to the sorority and makes it one of its most attractive characteristics. When I met the girls of AGD I felt at home. I finally could let my guard down and be my real self. Only kindness can be found within the circle that we have made so special and true, here, there is no judgement or stereotypes, only the laughter that fills the walls when we all come together as a united chapter. I feel special, I feel safe, I feel loved with the people I call my sisters.

I think I can speak for all of us when I say that Alpha Gamma Delta keeps us grounded, keeps us humble. And, in return, we as a sisterhood keep the heart of our sorority high in the clouds so that everyone can see the greatness it possesses.

Alpha Gamma Delta inspires the women who impact the world. Live with purpose, keep calm, and chase squirrels.

You inspire me my loves

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
