As a college student who lives on campus and approximately 116.2 miles away from my one true love (my dog), I suffer every day when the presence of a fluffy friend is not around. But after going through almost four years of college, I’ve come to the realization that I’m not the only one with these weird thoughts as I see a dog on campus.
As a dog owner and lover, I’ll be the first to admit that I have separation issues when I don’t get to see my dog Bacci. So after weeks and sometimes months of no-dog-isolation, I begin to go a little crazy! Which brings me to the 6 expressions almost every college kid has uttered the words of when encountered with a dog on campus.
Just as a side-note, all of these pictures are of my adorable dog Bacci.
1. I think I’m going to cry.
To be honest, I say this one way too often. Any dog lover understands the amount of joy and happiness a dog can bring into your life, so even for the one minute you pet this random person’s dog, you’ll stay happy for many hours.
2. I'm going to go buy a dog.
Everyone has thought it before, don’t try and deny it. You may have thought to yourself, “I’ll just scoop it up and we will live together forever.”
3. Can we steal it?
Drastic times call for drastic measures. Not going to lie, I've thought about going to the pet store to pick up a new puppy just to numb the pain of not seeing my own dog in weeks.
4. When is pet therapy day?
Let’s get real. Pet therapy is probably the best day of the whole semester. I mean it tops every other event out there. A field of dogs to run around and play with? Is this what heaven is like?
5. Just LOOK AT IT!
They are so damn cute. No matter the size, color, or breed, every dog is the best kind of dog.
6. Really all I need in life is a dog.
I stand strong on this statement. In life we all want to be happy, so get a dog! They increase your happiness tenfold.
