I pulled my first all-nighter of the year last week. Honestly, it was a wild ride that I definitely don't want to go through again.
1. You realize that you need to pull your crap together and start studying.
Giphy2. You calculate the number of hours you may be able to get if you sleep right then and there.
Giphy3. But, knowing that you procrastinated too much, you know you won’t be getting any sleep.
Giphy4. Knowing that your roommate is sleeping gives you mixed emotions because you’re glad that at least she can get some sleep, but it makes you sad because you want to sleep too.
Giphy5. You have an emotional breakdown here and there, but you pull yourself together because time is precious.
Giphy6. You take a break from studying and start looking at memes to distract yourself from the sad fact that you will be getting zero sleep.
Giphy7. You regret spending that entire hour looking at memes.
Giphy8. Before you know it, the sun is rising, and everything feels warm and cozy.
Giphy9. But, watching the sunrise makes you realize how much time you’ve lost.
Giphy10. You go to the restroom and see people getting ready to start their day.
Giphy11. You realize that it’s not a good idea to pull an all-nighter in your room because your bed is right next to you.
Giphy12. You realize that it’s not a good idea to pull an all-nighter at all because your sleep schedule will get all wacky to make up for all the sleep you lost.
Giphy13. You tell yourself that you won’t procrastinate next time (or at least try) so that you can get at least a few hours of sleep.
GiphyI seriously applaud people who can pull multiple all-nighters consecutively during midterms or finals season. You guys are freaking wild. Get some sleep Y'all.
