Dear little brother,
You're not so little anymore. From the day you entered into my life and held you as a baby, I knew you would be so special to me. I never wanted to let go of you. I wanted to be able to hold you in my arms forever. Now, you are growing up and changing every day. I come home from school and meet a new young man every time I walk through the door. You make me so proud.
You now have your own friends and have your own way of life. You've inherited the family's love for "Star Wars" and we could not be prouder. I look forward to "nerding out" with you over the latest Marvel movie or the latest fan theories. I, also love our movie marathons consisting of non-stop "Lord of the Rings", "Star Wars" and "Harry Potter."
Most importantly, I look forward to your huge bear hugs. You've always given the best hugs and they get better over time.
You are becoming a man of God. Going to church on Sundays, I see you becoming a leader. I can see you love the Lord with all of your heart. Hold fast to God and never take Him out of your life.
You are learning that girls are becoming a part of your life. Being your older sister, I believe that no girl that will be ever good enough for you, but I understand that one day there will be one that surpasses far past your standards.
You are sweet, caring and understanding. You are the definition of a gentleman. Chivalry is very much alive because of you and any girl would be lucky to claim you as their own.
I know sometimes we bicker, fight and argue over the silliest of things, but I hope you know that I love you. I hope you know I would do anything for you. I hope you know that I am and always will be here for you. I hope that we never lose what we have as siblings and as friends. I pray that you become a man of God just like our dad is. I hope you remember to thank our parents for raising you to be the amazing young man you are today. I hope you can look back when you have a family of your own and still remember ours.
I hope you can tell my future nieces and nephews about the time you bombarded me with Nerf guns or the time you held me as I cried in the parking lot after I found out my friend had passed away.
I cannot express to you how much you mean to me. You have always been there for me. Protecting me from the boys that broke my heart to the friends that left me with scars.
I can't find the words to express my gratitude for all you have done for me. I wish I could thank you a thousand times, but I know we have a lifetime ahead of us.
I love you with all of my heart,
Your Older Sister
