Underrated Albums To Listen To In Quarantine

If you guys have been as bored as I have been in quarantine, here are some albums for you to binge. I tried to pick albums that you might not have heard before, and more recent albums as well.

Heartbreak Weather by Niall Horan

I think that Niall is one of the most underrated members of One Direction, and his voice is one of the best. He's also a really funny guy, so feel free to watch some of his interviews too.Best tracks include:"Heartbreak Weather","Black and White", and "Everywhere".

Future Nostalgia by Dua Lipa

This is a newer album, and I am predicting it to be the album of the summer. I foresee it winning a few Grammy's at next year's ceremony. My favorite songs off the album are "Cool" and "Future Nostalgia".

Four by One Direction

This is easily the best One Direction album to exist. It's also the last one with Zayn on it, which makes it perfect for streaming in preparation of their possible reunion. The best, most underrated tracks are "Change Your Ticket", "Night Changes", and "Girl Almighty".

Kid Krow by Conan Gray

This is for all those depressed people out there. These songs will cut straight through to your soul. I recommend listening to these in your room at 2 am with all of the lights turned off. "Heather", "The Cut That Always Bleeds", and "Little League" are some of my favorites.

Neotheater by AJR

This is one of those albums that are best if your listen to all of the tracks in order. They all connect together, and its really fun to go through and try to find all of the easter eggs in each song. The best tracks are "Turning Out Pt. ii", "Karma", and "Next Up Forever".

Inner Monologue Part 2 by Julia Michaels

Julia is one of my favorite songwriters, and the level of craft that she puts into her music is astounding on every level. Inner Monologue Part 2 is a continuation, and so I recommend you listen to both parts together, but the second part might be the better half. My favorite tracks are "Work Too Much", "Priest", and "17".

Rare by Selena Gomez

Rare is one of those albums that you play after you go through a breakup. It's great to see Selena shine on her own, and her music is definitely empowering. Some great cuts from the album are: "Ring", "Fun", "Kinda Crazy", and "Dance Again".

You won't regret listening to these! Happy streaming!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
